Does this automatically link or is there a package that needs installed? Also, does this unlock and lock doors as well or just work as a remote start?

You would need to take it to a Subaru dealer and have them link it to your vehicle for you. The vehicle needs to already be locked for the remote starter to work. The remote starter fob is separate and has just the "start" button.
